Not Only For Medical Use: Green Tea Is Being Considered by Dentists in Mississauga to Assist in Improving the Health of Patient’s Mouth

"Good oral health is everyone's responsibility, not just that of reputable dentists in Mississauga and other cities. The campaign against oral scourges like bad breath continues at home, where your diet can dictate the health of your teeth. A hot cup of green tea is a welcome addition to any healthy diet, having built its reputation as one of nature's most important gifts to human health. A study by the Israel Institute of Technology focused on one of its benefits: epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). As the most abundant catechin in tea, EGCG has been the focus of many tea and non-tea-related studies in various fields. Green tea, in general, showed a drastic cut in the amount of volatile sulfur compounds that often give halitosis its pungent odor. It's estimated that green tea straight from the leaves contains the highest concentration of EGCG and other catechins."
